The Christmas countdown has well and truly begun and it’s time to deck your halls. You could climb up to the loft and use the same decorations as last year, or you could give your entire house some fresh and creative festive sparkle. At Mad Lilies we’ve got everything you need to fill your home with all the evocative sights and sounds of the most wonderful time of the year. So, take a minute or two to sit down with a glass of your favourite and a warm mince pie, and read on to plan your perfect Christmas floral decorations …

Christmas At First Sight

It’s true, first impressions really do count – so, don’t wait for your guests to venture inside before sprinkling the magic. Instead, why not hang a sumptuous Mad Lilies wreath on your front door? With five different Christmas wreaths to choose from, there is a design to suit any style.

‘Yuletide Wishes’: rich and festive accents – featuring eucalyptus, red ilex berries, blue thistle, and scented cinnamon sticks.

‘Fairytale in New York’: warming and colourful – including luxury blue spruce, red berries, oranges, and lavender.

‘Little Star’ : a textural, living door wreath – with ferns, eucalyptus, and succulents.

‘Mistletoe Kisses’ : a stylish asymmetrical, dried flower design – featuring cotton pods, apple slices, and eucalyptus.

‘Winter Solstice’ : a really on trend, dried flower wreath – with bleached ruscus, pinecones, cotton pods, and litchen.

If a wreath isn’t quite what you’re looking for this year, then take a look at our ‘Night Before Christmas’ door swag. Its free-flowing design – including fragrant eucalyptus, pussy willow, magnolia, and pinecones – is sure to make a statement for guests and neighbours to admire.

Inside Christmas Floral Decorations

Now you’ve picked your festive outside decorations, let’s turn our attention indoors.

The Mad Lilies range of stunning hand tied bouquets will give any room the WOW factor; and the beauty of our hand tieds is they are lovingly put together by the team in Banstead – so all you have to do is unwrap and place in a suitable vase. Helping you easily cross ‘create Christmas magic’ off your to-do list. They also make a beautiful gift for the hostess with the mostess!

Our Christmas hand tied bouquet choices include: perfect white Christmas florals in ‘Baby It's Cold Outside’, the festive but romantic ‘Queen of Hearts’, true Christmas sparkle in the glitter-kissed ‘Swan Lake’ , and unexpected details in ‘Santa Baby’.

For something extra special, our ‘Snow Queen Jug’ and ‘Plum & Spice Vase’, each come with their own container. As does the highly popular collection of ‘Three Kings Glass Bottles’ (filled with festive beauties like eucalyptus, blush pink roses and astrantia) – perfect for dotting around the house, on coffee or side tables.

Tables Of Wonder

One of the highlights of Christmas is gathering around the dining table to celebrate together with loved ones. Laughter can be shared, stories reminisced, lots of food consumed, and joy spread all around.

If you don’t already know by now, the Mad Lilies team love a gorgeously styled table (watch out for one of our table styling workshops if you want to see the team in action and learn from the best). To make sure your Christmas table is a real feast for the eyes this year, choose one of our table centre pieces. From the more traditional round designs (with or without candles) of ‘Rocking Robin’ or ‘Woodland Berry & Spice’, to the modern blue/green tones of ‘Nordic Pine’  – ideal for rectangular tables. We also have, ‘Woodland Snowfall’,  with its bark-lined vase and natural colour palette, just full of winter wonderfulness.

If you are tight for space, then our ‘Three Kings Glass Bottles’, mentioned above, work just as well along your dining table as they do dotted about elsewhere in your home.

Candlelight

Does anything say Christmas spirit more than heart-warming candlelight?

Add another dimension to your table design with the height and stunning colours of our Ester & Erik candles. Be sure to look at the new colours we’ve added to our range this Christmas, including the drop dead gorgeous metallics – gold, silver and bronze

Then, for a final, special touch for the senses – fill your home with the beautiful aroma of scented candles. We have an incredible range of scented candles to choose from, including some particularly festive fragrances such as: ‘Spiced Orange & Red Berry’  and ‘Fireside Embers’ – both by Plum & Ashby, or our very own Mad Lilies’ ‘Rhubarb & Ginger’.

Christmas Trees

We can’t talk about decorating your home with Christmas floral decorations without mentioning the most iconic natural decoration of all…the Christmas tree.

Known as the King of Christmas trees, we can source ‘Nordmann Fir’ – with his beautifully soft foliage and impressive pyramid shape.  He’s also non-drop, meaning (with the proper care) he’ll last the whole Christmas season.

DIY Christmas Floral Decorations

If all this festive talk has got you feeling ready to decorate your home, but you want to create some floral decorations yourself, then come and choose from our fabulous foliage in store. We have the best selection of foliage in Surrey.

Bring the wonderful scent of eucalyptus (a Mad Lilies favourite) indoors. Use twigs and festive berry branches, such as ilex in orange and red, to add interest and colour; and why not use a selection of house plants for decorations that last beyond the celebrations? House plants and bulbs also make for gorgeous gifts (read more about our fabulous Christmas gift range and ideas here ).

We also have the seasonal, floral star of the show – and one of our favourite big blooms at this time of year – amaryllis.  In shades of red, pink, peach and white, it makes a wonderful, festive impact.

For any of the flowers and foliage available in our Banstead store, please pre-order to avoid disappointment.
