Inspired by the wonderfully colourful interiors of Charleston , the Sussex farmhouse once home to artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, this beautiful striped paper celebrates a world where art, colour and creativity were part of everyday life.

Designed by Cambridge Imprint in 2019 for the Charleston Trust , Charleston Stripe is one of three original patterns created to capture the artistic spirit of this remarkable house.

At Charleston, creativity wasn't confined to paintings on the walls. Bell and Grant decorated almost every surface, from doors and furniture to lampshades, ceramics and textiles, creating interiors bursting with colour, pattern and personality.

And that same wonderfully expressive spirit runs through this gorgeous striped design.

Printed in England using three carefully hand-mixed inks on responsibly sourced, archival-quality 90gsm uncoated paper , each sheet has a beautiful matte finish and the distinctive charm of traditional hand-printed paper.

We particularly love it for wrapping thoughtful gifts, paired with a beautifully contrasting cotton ribbon or a simple, oversized bow.
