Originally created in watercolour, the heritage carrot artwork has been translated into ceramic using a combination of glazing and decorating techniques. The design wraps around the bowl, while the fuzzy green carrot tops have a tactile textured finish , adding another lovely layer of detail.
Each bowl is handmade by skilled artisans at a small Italian-owned factory , using fine earthenware clay before the decoration is individually applied by hand. As a result, subtle variations occur from piece to piece — making every bowl wonderfully individual.
