We're On The Move

We're On The Move

You may already have heard some talk and at last we have some exciting news to share with you!

Mad Lilies, Surrey's favourite independent florist, is on the move. We've cherished our time at No. 84 High Street, but we've outgrown our space and are thrilled to announce that we'll soon be relocating to a fantastic new spot just a few doors down, on the 'Sunny Side of the Street' opposite Waitrose, a hop and skip from Café Chai and Lavender Kitchen, right next door to Edibles.

Our new location at No. 127 High Street provides us more room to expand our flower and plants offering, as well as our popular range of home styling and gifts. It also means we’ll be able to showcase more of our creative and wedding services.

We’ll be talking a lot more about our plans over the weeks to come, but in the meantime here’s what you can look forward to:

Expanded Flower and Plant Range

  • Fresh Flowers: Our passion for flowers remains at the heart of what we do and we will continue to source seasonal British blooms from local growers in the Surrey Hills area as well as many of the top growers in Europe, ensuring the freshest, most vibrant selections for all occasions. We have also designed a bespoke workbench with our friends at A Hundred Stories that will allow us to bring our floristry team out onto the shop floor and showcase their talents on a daily basis.

Well who wouldn't want an even bigger flower bar?
  • House-Plants: With our new south-facing store, we're excited to significantly expand our range of house-plants. This is something we’ve been eager to do for a long time, and we can’t wait to share our green sanctuary with you.A display of Houseplants - image by Annie Spratt on Unsplash

An Enhanced Lifestyle Range

  • Candles & Home Fragrance: Our Ester & Erik candle wall will grow to include an even wider selection of colours alongside our newest dinner candle range from The British Colour Standard co. We’ll also continue our exquisitely scented candle range from True Grace, Plum & Ashby, and Botanical Candle Co.

  • Home Decor: We're very excited to be collaborating with A Hundred Stories on the renovation and restyling of the new store, and look forward to featuring a new curation of key pieces from their collection of rustic vintage furniture and decor, perfect for adding charm to any home.

New Services and Offerings

  • Tablescapes and Styling Service: Building on our love and expertise of tablescaping, we plan to introduce a styling service complete with an enhanced product range, inspiring you to take your table styling to a new level and add an extra bit of Wow! to dinner parties and family gatherings.

  • Creative Workshops: Capitalising on the additional space, we are creating an additional workroom area, which will allow us to host workshops during working days and offer ad-hoc creative workspace for local businesses. Stay tuned for news on upcoming workshops and events!

Loyalty Program Update We’re also transitioning from our traditional stamp cards to a new online loyalty system. This will offer greater benefits and convenience, rewarding you more for your continued support.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of all our local tradespeople who are helping us transform our new premises into a welcoming and inspiring new home. We are at the start of another busy wedding season and the schedule for a mid-June move is tight, so we hope to have an official relocation celebration sometime in September. Watch this space.

Thank you for being a part of the Mad Lilies community and supporting local businesses. We love being part of Banstead High Street and this move is part of our commitment to ensuring small independent shops continue to flourish in the face of economic uncertainty and the domination of faceless online giants. Every pound you spend on Banstead High Street is a statement of your belief in the value of shopping local, and we are immensely grateful for that.

We can’t wait to welcome you to our beautiful new space and continue to provide you with the best floral and lifestyle products Surrey has to offer.

Cheers for now!

Alison & The Mad Lilies Team

P.S. If there are any local or British artisan brands that you think would be a great fit for our store, please email us. We’re always looking to support and showcase unique, high-quality products from genuine independent makers.
