Freshly planted by us at Mad Lilies in Banstead, each one brings together a changing selection of beautiful seasonal bulbs, flowering plants and trailing greenery. Think hot pink cyclamen, softly scented hyacinths, inky blue muscari, delicate narcissus and tumbling ivy, all gathered together in a characterful rustic planter.

It's abundant, colourful and deliberately a little unexpected — a welcome reminder that the garden doesn't have to be quiet just because it's winter.

And part of the loveliness is watching it change. Bulbs emerge, flowers open and new colours appear, allowing your Winter Carnival to evolve from Christmas through the quieter days of winter and towards spring.

From Christmas to Spring

The Winter Carnival begins its story in December, but as the season changes, so will the planting.

Our florists select the loveliest seasonal bulbs and plants available each week, allowing the design to naturally evolve as winter slowly gives way to spring.

Style it beside the front door, on a patio or garden table, or enjoy it indoors for a while in a bright, cool position where suitable for the plants included.

Then simply sit back and watch the show begin.
