How to Care for Your Amaryllis

A little care. A lot of beautiful blooms.

Amaryllis are wonderfully rewarding cut flowers. With a little attention, you'll enjoy watching their magnificent buds gradually burst into bloom.

Trim the stems carefully

Amaryllis have naturally hollow stems, so use a clean, sharp knife to trim the ends rather than crushing them with scissors.

Give them a little support

We've included long wooden supports that can be carefully inserted inside each amaryllis stem. Once in place, gently secure with a little cotton wool at the top. This helps support those magnificent flower heads as they begin to open.

Find their favourite spot

Arrange your amaryllis in a clean, sturdy vase with fresh water. Position them somewhere bright, away from direct sunlight, radiators and other sources of heat.

Let the magic unfold

A warmer room will encourage the buds to open more quickly, while cooler conditions can help slow the process. Refresh the water regularly and enjoy watching each magnificent bloom make its grand entrance.
