Heartleaf Philodendron – Lush Greenery with a Jungle Feel
Create your own indoor oasis with the Heartleaf Philodendron (Philodendron Scandens), a climbing plant loved for its trailing tendrils covered in glossy, heart-shaped leaves. Effortlessly versatile, it can be trained up a moss pole, left to cascade from a shelf, or even encouraged to cover a wall or trellis for a jungle-inspired aesthetic. Easy to care for, it thrives in relatively low light, making it the perfect choice for adding lush greenery to almost any space.
Please Note
This Philodendron comes in a 15cm natural plastic nursery pot and stands approx. 30–40cm tall – the decorative pot shown in photos is not included.
Choosing the Right Decorative Pot
To give your plant the perfect fit, you’ll need to select a decorative pot separately. As a general rule, go one size up from the nursery pot. For example, if your plant comes in a 15cm nursery pot, choose a decorative pot with an internal diameter of around 16–18cm for the best fit. Caring For Your Heartleaf Philodendron Easy-Care Indoor Climber
WATERING
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry, keeping the soil lightly moist but never soggy. Mist the leaves regularly, especially as the plant starts to trail.
LIGHT & POSITION
Prefers bright, indirect light but will tolerate lower light, making it a versatile choice for most rooms.
HUMIDITY
Heartleaf Philodendrons thrive in moderate to high humidity, but will adapt happily to normal household conditions—occasional misting helps keep those glossy leaves looking their best.
