How to Care for Your Amaryllis
Amaryllis stems are naturally hollow, so always trim the ends with a sharp knife rather than scissors to help prevent the stems from being crushed.
We've included long wooden supports to slide carefully inside each amaryllis stem. Once in place, gently plug the top with a little cotton wool to help secure it. This provides additional support as those magnificent flowers begin to open.
If you're not ready to display your amaryllis immediately, the stems can be stored without water in a cool, dark place for up to a week.
When you're ready to enjoy them, place the stems in fresh water and move them into a warm, bright room. Light and warmth will encourage the buds to gradually open and reveal their spectacular flowers.
Refresh the water regularly and enjoy watching your amaryllis transform.
