Created by British stationery studio Scribble & Daub, each design begins as an original dip pen and ink drawing by founder Caroline Kent before being traditionally letterpress printed at a family-run workshop.
The cards then return to the Scribble & Daub studio in East Sussex, where every one is individually hand-painted using vibrant, richly pigmented inks inspired by the joyful colour palette of Andy Warhol.
The hand-painted process means subtle variations occur between cards, making each one genuinely individual — particularly fitting for celebrating a brand-new person who is rather unique themselves.
The paper is every bit as special as the artwork.
Made at a historic 750-year-old Italian paper mill, the luxurious mould-made card has a beautiful weight and texture, finished with a distinctive hand-torn deckle edge that gives it the feel of a miniature piece of original art.
At 13 × 8.5cm, it's perfectly proportioned for accompanying a bouquet of flowers or beautifully chosen new baby gift. Inside, the card is deliberately left blank, giving you plenty of room for your own message to the new parents — and perhaps a few words for the little one to read one day too.
