M&C – A Romantic Riverside Wedding
“The flower arch perfectly framed the entrance into our wedding breakfast and the use of the dark foliage really made it stand out. Ali and the team kindly incorporated our disco balls into the flower installation above the dance floor which really gave it a fun modern twist and added to the party atmosphere.” Molly and Charlie
Hampton Court House is a place of sheer beauty, luxury and somewhere we absolutely love working. Molly and Charlie got married in August with some jaw dropping floral designs, including a flower arch and suspended installation above the dancefloor all perfectly captured by their photographer, Steve Bridgwood.
Molly said, “I knew I wanted to incorporate a tonal pink colour palate to match my bridesmaids dresses, adding lots of foliage with an informal/wild feel. I wasn’t very familiar with flower names and had no idea what would be in season so Ali helped a lot with the detail behind it and ultimately I trusted her judgement and expertise to create my vision.” We took this brief for a wild, natural, relaxed and informal feel designing florals in a colour palette of whites, pinks, burgundy and plums, pulled together with lots of lovely natural foliage and grasses. The designs included Astilbe, Lisianthus, Oxypetalum, Phlox, Rice Flower, scented garden Roses, Sansorbia, Scabiosa, English Jasmine and Rosemary.
“I chose Mad Lilies after speaking to my caterer and our family friend Couvert Hire and also when I went to try on dresses Miss Bush Bridal… after checking them out on Instagram and seeing some fabulous flower arches and installations I knew they would deliver exactly what I had envisioned for the day.” - Molly
We like to ask our Brides what their best piece of advice is for future Brides, Molly said: “My advice is to try and not stress on the day, it goes by very quickly, so enjoy every second and take it all in.”
