G & A - Classic City Wedding at Caledonian Club

25 September 2021

I always wanted my flowers to have a seasonal and natural look, so this changed a little whilst replanning the day thanks to Covid. And Mad Lilies were always on hand with my date changes for making the most out of the season; and I even ended up getting to have peonies my dream flowers on the day! Thank you to all of you! We had the most incredible day, and I could not have loved the flowers any more.” - Georgie

We absolutely loved designing for the wonderful Georgie and Andrew - just look at that colour palette! This was a stunning, intimate and classic city wedding - there’s just something about a bride and groom strolling through the streets of London from their ceremony to their venue.

Georgie and Andrew chose the incredible Caledonian Club in Belgravia for their reception venue as a nod to Andrew’s Scottish heritage. A sentiment we also incorporated in to Georgie’s bouquet with the inclusion of blue Eryngium… now let’s talk about THAT bouquet!

Georgie wanted floral designs that were vibrant and punchy but retained a natural style, which was one of the reasons she chose to work with us. Georgie said: “Mad Lilies’ displays always have a great look of being beautifully put together, yet natural at the same time and I just loved the look of all of their styling and previous weddings.” We designed Georgie’s bouquet with Larkspur, Lisianthus, Peonies, Spray Roses, Stocks, Sweet Pea and Veronica before finishing off with long hot pink and ivory ribbons. We used the same flowers in gorgeous oversized large compote table designs for the reception.

We asked Georgie what was her best piece of wedding advice for future brides - “Definitely the tip that Ali gave me the morning of my wedding for holding my bouquet - Pubes not Boobs!”
