Working with Claire & Jamie at Louisa Grace is always a joy, not least because we do the shoot at their wonderful Chipstead Location House and get a sneak peek at what Jamie's up to in the workshop, but also because Claire has such a talent for styling a room or setting in a way that's slightly quirky and different yet instantly inviting and homely.
The Brief
What does a Rustic Vintage Christmas look like? How do you create a Christmas style that embodies the spirit and nostalgia of family gatherings, from times when the decorations and ornaments spoke of natural materials hand-crafted with traditional themes?
We were looking for colours and textures that prioritised a feeling of warmth and welcome over glitz and glam. The soft glow of twinkling lights, the rich aroma of cinnamon and pine, and the unmistakable warmth that only the holiday season can bring.
Mixing Magic
Claire, as always, worked her styling magic, infusing every corner of the house with a rustic vintage twist that felt like a journey back in time. From ornaments made with reclaimed wooden and industrial pieces to antique baubles that told stories of Christmases gone by, the decor was a nod to tradition with a modern flair. And Alison, of course, mixed in the Mad Lilies magic of bringing nature indoors with stunning wreaths, floral arrangements and table centrepieces that complemented the rustic charm.

We'll start, unsurprisingly, at the front door, where you're greeted by one of our sumptuous Christmas Wreaths. Crafted with care and adorned with seasonal delights such as Rosehip Berries, Scented Pine, Cinnamon, and Orange Balls, these wreaths are not just decorations; they are invitations to come indoors and embrace the joy of the season.
